Team Mirza

Established in 2003, Team Mirza was one of the first few BJJ teams in the Middle East and has since competed in BJJ tournaments worldwide.  

  • 2005 - Team Mirza hosted the King Abdullah Cup
  • 2006 European Tournament - Team Mirza was the first Middle Eastern team to compete in the tournament. With only 6 competitors, the Jordanian team earned 2 silver and 2 bronze medals
  • 2007 Emirates Asian Cup - Team Mirza earned 18 medals, the highest overall medals of all teams
  • 2007 Jiu-Jitsu World Championship - The first Middle Eastern team to participate in the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship
  • 2008 European Championship - Won 2 silver and 3 bronze medals among 1,500 international competitors
  • 2008 World Championship - The team earned 1 silver and 1 bronze out of over 3,000 international competitors
  • 2008 Capital Challenge International Tournament - Finished as the first place team. The tournament awarded the highest prize money of all BJJ tournaments
  • 2009 Professional World Tournament - The team took 3rd place by winning 2 silver and 2 bronze medals
